Diamonte Drequan Disney, 25, and Tiheen "Tizzy" Justice Nathaniel Matthews, 20, both of Hagerstown, MD, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner, as detailed in the PA State Police release.
The double fatal crash happened on I-81 South at mile marker 5.5 in Antrim Township, Franklin County at 1:54 a.m., as Daily Voice initially reported.
Southbound lanes were closed for over five hours Wednesday morning between Exit 10: PA 914 Marion and Exit 5: Greencastle - Waynesboro, according to PennDOT. The interstate reopened around 7:25 a.m., according to PSP.
"It was determined that a black 2012 Infiniti G37 was traveling south on I-81 when for an unknown reason it lost control," PSP Chambersburg Trooper Benjamin Ruiz wrote in the updated release. The car left the road for an unknown reason, hit the guidewire in the median, and then rolled over an "unknown number of times causing 4 passengers to be ejected," according to Trooper Ruiz.
The other two passengers suffered "suspected major injuries" and were taken to Meritus Medical Center.
Disney was originally from Frederick, MD, and attended South Hagerstown High School, according to his school media.
Tiheen was born and raised in Hagerstown; playing baseball on the National Little League of Hagerstown growing up, according to the organization's website.
